Zach Song is experienced in conducting international arbitrations and advising on disputes in the energy sector.
Zach is a partner at Steptoe in its international disputes group working in New York City, and had previously worked in London, Singapore, Bangkok and Seoul. Zach is a specialist in dispute resolution and has worked on international arbitrations and litigation in relation to nuclear technology, oil and gas projects, solar power plants, high voltage cable interconnector projects, and energy storage system projects in the United States. Zach sits as a registered panel arbitrator of several Asian arbitral institutes, serves as mediator of the International Division of the Korea Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB), and also serves as a panel lawyer for the Ministry of Justice of South Korea regarding Singapore related matters. Zach is a pragmatic problem solver and having worked on international arbitration around all major arbitral institutes, he also believes strongly in mediation and has represented clients in complex mediations including those administered by the Singapore Mediation Centre. Zach travels back to Asia often to work with clients on their international disputes matters.
