Vivek Daswaney heads the employment and labor law vertical at Economic Laws Practice (ELP).
He obtained his Bachelors and Masters in Law from Mumbai University and is a qualified Solicitor registered with Bombay Incorporated Law Society and Law Society of England and Wales.
Vivek has represented various global and domestic organizations in handling all kinds of labour and employment related matters including workforce restructuring – organic/inorganic, social security/compensation structuring, employee transfers/exits, assisting in HR policies/handbooks, senior management contracts, Industrial relations, investigations, disciplinary proceedings, labour law compliances, audits and regulatory interface.
Over the 25+ years practice he has also gained substantial experience in litigations/disputes, corporate-commercial transactions, mergers & acquisitions, real estate, inheritance planning, trust and testamentary. He works regularly with the infrastructure, real estate and corporate commercial teams within the firm and assists the other practices in employee related restructuring.
Besides being a lawyer, he is an avid sailor, biker and teacher – associated with law and management colleges as a visiting faculty.
