Vyapak Desai is currently a Counsel/Arbitrator at Vyapak Desai Law Chambers, a position he has held since August 2025. Prior to this, he was the Head, Int’l Disputes and Investigations Practice at Nishith Desai Associates from June 2005 to July 2025. His professional experience began as an Advocate at Singhi& Co. from August 2000 to May 2005.
Vyapak represents clients in a wide-range of services with a special focus on cutting edge cross-border and complex litigations, investment treaty disputes and international commercial arbitrations. In the past, Vyapak has led the Capital Markets Practice as part of Corporate Transactions (M&A/PE) Practice at Nishith Desai Associates.
He is a leading attorney in the advisement and representation of clients involved in technology, healthcare and pharma, media, entertainment, franchising, oil and gas, insurance and financial services sectors for pragmatic and effective pre-litigation strategies, arbitrations and litigations before various forums including the Supreme Court, High Courts and Tribunals (SAT, NCLT, FEMA etc) of India. He has represented and advised clients in investment treaty arbitrations and before international arbitration centres such as the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR- AAA) amongst others. He acts as an arbitrator and is also a trained mediator.
