After nearly two decades of association with some of the top law firms in India, Jyoti founded AJA Legal in 2019. She has represented some of the largest financial institutions, including banks and asset reconstruction companies as well as borrowers, before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums. Jyoti has acted for and advised all stakeholders in Insolvency landscape in India. She also brings extensive experience in white-collar crime and corporate fraud matters and regularly advises and represents multinational and Indian corporations across diverse sectors in commercial litigation and arbitration.
Jyoti has been consistently recognised by Chambers and Partners (Asia-Pacific and Global) for Dispute Resolution: Insolvency since 2015, as well as for Dispute Resolution: Mumbai. Her work has also been acknowledged by Legal Era, where she was awarded Leading Lawyer – Restructuring and Insolvency (2022) and Young Achiever – Law Firm category (2016–2017). She has been noted by Benchmark Litigation (Asia-Pacific) as one of the Top 100 Women in Litigation (2020), and by Asia Law as a Distinguished Practitioner in Insolvency and Restructuring (2020–2025). She is a regular speaker at leading conferences and round-table discussions.
