Axel Reeg is admitted to the Bars of Germany and Spain. His main practice areas include cross-border litigation before state courts and arbitrations under the rules of many institutions around the world, mainly as an arbitrator. He is familiar with both civil and common law approaches to dispute resolution: Axel holds a PhD in law of the University of Freiburg/Germany, has been a special student at the Law Faculty of the National University of Singapore and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators from 2013 to 2020. He teaches international commercial arbitration at the University of Heidelberg and presently is a co-leader of the practice group on Settlement Facilitation of the DIS, the German Institution of Arbitration. Also, he regularly publishes on topics of international arbitration.
