Kazuhide (Kazu) co-heads the International Trade Team at TMI Associates. His primary areas of expertise include investment and trade regulations, including customs, export control, FDI related compliance, investigations, and international arbitration and litigation. He advises foreign clients—including start-ups—on regulatory and corporate matters. Previously, he served as a Deputy Director at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), where he was involved in trade negotiations, the WTO dispute settlement process as well as checking legal aspects of the government’s trade related measures. He earned his LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2014.
