Markus Rasner is a partner with Oppenhoff, a leading law firm in Germany. He heads Oppenhoff’s Private Equity Practice and also the firm’s China and ASEAN Desks. Markus focuses on advising international and domestic financial sponsors, strategic investors, and entrepreneurs on complex M&A transactions, with in-depth expertise in multinational scenarios and has built a significant track record in mid-market transactions. In addition, over the past 20 years he has built a market leading practice in advising on RWI matters for leading insurance providers.

Markus regularly speaks and publishes on current topics in M&A and private equity and is a lecturer at the think tank Institute for Mergers & Acquisitions and Alliances. He is a member of the Executive Board of the German Asia-Pacific Business Association and in addition to his role at Oppenhoff, Markus serves as Honorary Consul-General of the Republic of Singapore in Frankfurt.
