Role of Experts in Major Construction Project For Delay and Cost Overruns Claims

This panel will explore the critical and often indispensable role of independent experts in navigating the complexities of delay analysis and quantification of claims in major international construction projects.
The complexities inherent in major construction projects include tight schedules, multiple parties and their interdependence, involvement of government entities, large financial stakes etc. These factors make disputes related to delays, cost overruns, and claims for damages very common. Resolving these disputes calls for sophisticated analysis of records and evidence to determine causation and to quantify damages.
It is important to ensure that project engineers, legal advisors and the experts create a coherent project administration strategy and implement it right from the start of the project through to its realisation. This is particularly when claims are formalised and filed before dispute resolution forums.
The discussions may include different established methods for delay analysis and cost quantification.
The panel will also focus on the importance of selecting experts having credibility, independence and expertise in the type/nature of construction project and the issues which are in dispute,
