Gmeleen Tomboc

Gmeleen Tomboc began her career in private practice, advising on M&A and debt and equity financings while at law firms in Singapore, Tokyo, and Manila. She later held senior in house counsel roles, namely: Vice President in the General Counsel division of Credit Suisse and acting Asia General Counsel for AES Corporation. She now leads project structuring and delivery for solar and battery storage projects around Asia as Senior Vice President (Project Management) at Gurīn Energy. An IPBA Scholar in 2013, she has attended every annual conference since and currently serves as Committee Coordinator. She holds an LL.M. from Harvard and a law degree from the University of the Philippines, and is admitted in New York, England and Wales, and the Philippines.

Renu Menon is Co‑Head of the Banking & Finance Practice at Drew & Napier. Ms. Hoang Nguyen Ha Quyen is Managing Partner at LNT, where she leads the firm’s Corporate practice group. With a career spanning over 27 years, Ms. Hoang is widely recognized as a preeminent legal expert in corporate, commercial compliance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), contract drafting and negotiation, investment, and labor law. Ms. Hoang’s professional journey is marked by significant accomplishments in successfully navigating complex legal landscapes. She, alongside her dedicated team, has been instrumental in the completion of numerous high-profile foreign-invested projects, intricate mergers and acquisitions, and comprehensive corporate restructuring and management initiatives. Her deep understanding of investment law makes her an invaluable advisor to both domestic and international clients seeking to establish, expand, or restructure their operations in Vietnam.
Beyond her transactional work, Ms. Hoang is highly active in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), demonstrating her exceptional expertise as both an arbitrator and a mediator. She is a Listed Arbitrator at the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), where she has been appointed as the Presiding Arbitrator or Arbitrator in more than 35 cases, highlighting her deep experience in commercial arbitration. Her experience also includes international appointments, having served as an Arbitrator in cases administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC). Furthermore, as a leading figure in mediation, Ms. Hoang was recently appointed as the Vice Director of the Vietnam Mediation Centre (VMC). Erika Paulino
Pasig City
Erika Paulino co-heads the Projects and Energy practice group of Martinez Vergara & Gonzalez Socieded in the Philippines, and leads its Restructuring and Insolvency, and Data Privacy and Security practice groups. She has extensive experience in corporate and project finance, having represented arrangers, lenders, borrowers, and project proponents in high-value loan syndications, project financings, and debt issuances. She is recognized as a Recommended Lawyer and Next Generation Partner by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific and is ranked as a Notable Practitioner by IFLR1000.
Erika also advises on real estate and construction, M&A, and securities transactions. She has handled significant asset divestments, acquisition financings, cross-border investments, and post-acquisition integrations, particularly in the banking, financial services, oil and gas, and renewable energy sectors. Her securities practice covers debt and equity offerings, including private placements and public offerings, as well as equity-based employee benefit plans for multinational corporations.
